So I bought this BT Home Hub 3, connected it to my existing BT Home Hub 3 with 30 meters of Ethernet cable and it works. Great. Use your spare BT Home Hub as a wired Ethernet switch and WAP! This will add wireless to a non-wireless modem, or extend wireless access to a room such as a basement, using a spare BT Home Hub and an ethernet cable or Home Plugs. I am trying to replace my BT Home Hub 5 with a new Eero Mesh. When I bought the Eero I didn't realize it was just a WiFi router and doesn't include a modem. I have tried to configure my BT Home Hub 5 as a modem by turning off it's WiFi and just connecting the Eero to the Ethernet port. But I'm thinking it's more of an issue on the phone side as all other WiFi connected devices have no issues with either the Home Hub 2 or 3, and even the Home Hub used to work when I first got the phone.
